Unfortunately Greenville SC only markets itself as open to the world, freedom of artistic expression, freedom of movement, and freedom of expression. In truth the city government is engaging in direct notices of possible penalty against local theaters, public park art exhibits, and others who are not minding whatever is deemed allowed art or allowed speech. 24/7 free movement is not allowed in many public open air and not fenced in parks. The city leadership trades these freedoms for standing and economic growth, not understanding that these freedoms are hard to regain, once they are gone.
Stay away from this leftist run city council. Won’t let you fly an American flag. No exceptions. Do not stop or spend a dime here.
It's come a long way, but has a long way to go. It's getting to be inclusive, like Jesus taught. Some people like to complain about it getting leftist, but it's getting better at serving all people and ain't nobody getting harassed for flying a regular sized flag on their lawn. 🇺🇲🤙🏽🌈
